- Opportunities for
Volunteers Without Disaster Relief Training: West Virginia
- flood victims are still in
need of assistance. Please help us meet the need of these
- affected by natural
disasters through long-term rebuilding. Manpower is needed in the West
- Virginia cities of Pageton,
Pineville, and Whitesville to repair churches and approximately
- sixty to seventy homes
that were damaged. If you are a willing and available volunteer
- or volunteer group that
could assist with flooring, sheet rock, and/or general construction,
- please contact Leon White

Unsolicited Volunteers (SUVs): Volunteers for New York and DC,
- serving through the
Southern Baptist Convention are activated by the North American
- Mission Board through
state Baptist conventions. State Baptist conventions have more
- than 20,000 trained
volunteers. If you have not previously been trained through your
- state Baptist convention,
there will likely not be an assignment for you in New York or DC.
